What is Check 21?
Check 21 allows banks to replace original checks with “substitute checks” that are made from digital copies of the original checks. Check 21 went into effect October 28, 2004. Substitute checks are also called IRDS – Image Replacement Documents.

How Does Remote Deposit Work?
We’ll walk you through the entire process. We’ll help you to install the Remote Capture Scanner or software onto your PC. Once the process is complete, you simply log onto Remote Deposit, select the account that you wish to make deposits into, enter your deposit total and begin scanning your checks. When this process is completed, the batch is automatically transmitted to the bank for deposit. In addition to convenience, you’ll find a variety of reports for viewing and printing for your record keeping as well as research needs.
Is my computer compatible?
The minimum PC specifications for Remote Deposit are a Pentium 4 1.4 GHz Processor or faster, 10 GB of free hard drive space, Windows 200 SP4 or Windows XP SP2, USB 2.0 port, high speed internet connection, Internet Explorer 6.0.
What is the deposit deadline?
Deposits may be submitted until 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

You may also centralize this function by installing only one scanner and merely selecting the desired depository account.
